    I tried making these but they didn't end up as fluffy that there was a crust on top. I'm wondering if I over steamed it or if my dough wasn't good, to begin with . . . to be frank it was an absolute fail T . T

    I tried your recipe. The first attempt was a failure. It could be because I only used all purpose. The second batch was much better. But i used a full 1/2 cup of water instead of 3/4 cup. And i added a bit of flour in the kneading process. Turned out much better. The filling was absolutley delicious just the way it was. Didnt need any changes.

    The ones I buy at the Chinese grocery here are made locally. The dough is made with baking powder and steamed. These are too much like gyoza not pork buns.
