I was wondering what the difference is between hoisin sauce and worcestershire sauce. I made this for my family before but this time accidentally got worcestershire sauce thinking that was what you used. Could I use it or would that ruin the flavour?

Haha I love how Jamie mentions that "ketchup doesn't sound very Chinese" when in fact English borrowed the word 'ketchup' from a southern Chinese dialect 🙂

This looks so good makes me miss home..
Something new to try? Instead of sherry, maybe use some rice wine? (Rather Chinese haha) Can reduce the meaty smell of the pork and give it a hint of lovely sweetness.

Looks yummy! But it doesn't look like the kind we buy from the Chinese restaurants (In cantonese, its called Cha Siu and there should be a reddish tint to the meat).  I just randomly googled a recipe and it called for Pork Butt hah.

Please make liu sha bao slash salted egg custard buns! Its a hong kong dim sum dish, and sort of like a Chinese lave cake which oozes out when you bite in to it. 🙂

I would love it if you guys were to do something like a bean sprout recipe like a salad or stir-fry, with vegies like green onion, ginger, garlic, shrimp or pork, a traditional Chinese dish..

This is supposed to be char siew right? It is definitely not char siew but it looks really good anyways. I can see the juices! Yum!

Made this tonight for my in laws! Marinated some pork back ribs with the rub overnight, brushed them with hoisin before going in the oven, kept brushing with hoisin every hour. Sweet and sticky 🙂 so delicious!! My baking pan is a goner, though lol
